A simple privacy choice
With the local workflow, your conversation is handled on your device. The app’s privacy description says chats, prompts, responses, attachments, downloaded models, and preferences are stored locally.
What if I need current information?
Web search is optional. When you choose it, your search query goes to the configured search service to retrieve current information and sources. It is a separate choice from chatting with a local model.
What can I try first?
- Summarize a note.
- Rewrite a message in a different tone.
- Explain a document or paragraph.
- Ask about a supported photo or document.
- Brainstorm ideas or make a checklist.
Start with something small and check important answers carefully. Large models can use significant storage, memory, battery, and heat.
